DuPont extends AmSafe Bridport’s distributorship for Tyvek® Cargo Covers
DuPont Protection Solutions has extended its official distributorship arrangements for Tyvek® Cargo Covers with AmSafe Bridport, the Dorset (UK)-based specialist in engineered textile solutions for cargo handling and cargo protection applications. AmSafe Bridport has been successfully working with DuPont since 2012 and has been instrumental in the successful penetration of Tyvek® Cargo Covers in the growing European and Middle East markets. Tyvek® Cargo Covers are used to provide thermal protection for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and perishable products during the ground handling and air transportation phases of distribution.

UK logistics provider Howard Tenens has just purchased a new site in Heywood, Manchester. The site includes 175,000 square feet of warehouse space and significant yard and outside area and sits within the Stakehill Industrial Estate, widely acknowledged to be one of the finest industrial estates in the North West of England. The site benefits from direct links to the A627(M) and M62 (junction 20) and is in close proximity to Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester city centre. It increases Howard Tenens’ total warehouse footprint to over 3,500,000 square feet in the UK.

Weiss-Röhlig Opens New Logistics Terminal in Dubai
Weiss-Röhlig United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrated the opening of its new logistics facility in Jebel Ali Freezone South in Dubai. This 4.5 Million USD investment is a strategic milestone to reach new service level and to attract new and old clients.

Buss Port Logistics Signs Second Turkish Contract
Buss Port Logistics – with its German/Turkish joint venture BussErk – has signed another contract in southeastern Turkey. Up to 2.5 million metric tons cargo is scheduled to be handled at the Gübretas Terminal, owned by Turkey’s largest fertilizer company. The first vessel was discharged at the end of February. In addition, BussErk has extended its contract at the nearby LimakPort in Iskenderun.

Doosan National Accounts Team To Deal Direct With Large Users
Doosan has set up an in-house National Accounts team who will be responsible for identifying and developing larger fleet users and multi-site operations within the UK. Since Doosan’s acquisition of Rushlift, an independent provider of forklifts and fleet services in February 2015, the £20-billion Korean manufacturer of counter-balance forklifts and warehouse equipment is now targeting forklifts users who operate larger materials handling fleets.
