UK-based materials handling technology specialist, Narrow Aisle Ltd, will highlight its extensive range of intralogistics solutions when it exhibits alongside other logistics and supply chain specialists on the UKWA Pavilion at this year’s Foodex (NEC, April 18-20). Of particular interest to food manufacturers and distributors will be the FlexiPiCK – a layer quantity customer order picking system that typically allows over 1100 cases per hour to be mechanically picked by one operator.

A skills & Apprenticeship Zone highlighting the careers available to young people in Britain’s booming logistics sector, and featuring leading employers from across the sector, is the latest addition to IMHX 2016, taking place from 13-16 September at the NEC in Birmingham. Rousseau has launched new swing doors for its "R" line of heavy-duty cabinets and shelving. The doors adjust vertically and horizontally to compensate for uneven floors. The doors also close with a simple push. The durable and ergonomic handles intuitively turn to the left or right for easy opening. Two locking options are available for added security: a key lock and a safety hasp.

Jungheinrich Group reports a very successful year-end to fiscal 2015, posting strong growth and new record highs for incoming orders, production, net sales and all earnings figures. Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management of Jungheinrich AG, said: “Fiscal 2015 was another very successful year for Jungheinrich. We bested our ambitious forecast for our key financials – incoming orders, net sales, EBIT and EBT and increased our market share in our main markets, Europe and worldwide. Furthermore, in 2015 consolidated earnings rose to 138 million euros.”

Forklift manufacturer STILL has selected GNB’s TENSOR batteries for a large new fleet change underway at a major logistics firm. Following a successful six-month trial, the customer will switch from gas-powered to electric forklifts, making “impressive year-over-year cost savings”. GNB Industrial Power, a division of Exide Technologies, will supply over 220 of its (80V, 840Ah) TENSOR batteries as part of the deal, one of the biggest European fleet changes in recent years.
