Four New UK Members For Pall-Ex Network

iPort Doncaster Logistics Units Taken by Amazon
Verdion has let two logistics units, totalling 1,315,600 sq ft (122,219 sq m), to a major retailer – thought to be Amazon - at iPort, the £500 million multi-modal logistics development in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The occupier has taken a pre-let of a 1,100,000 sq ft (102,190 sq m) warehouse located in first phase of the 6 million sq ft logistics scheme, plus a new lease on a speculatively built unit, known as IP2a, which comprises a 215,600 sq ft (20,029 sq m) logistics facility with a 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) two-storey office.

Financial Green Light For Teesport Renewable Energy Plant
The Tees Renewable Energy Plant (Tees REP or “the project”), a 299 MWe biomass fuelled combined heat and power project, has had its finances agreed and signed off. Located on land within the Teesport Estate near Middlesbrough in North East England, the project will cost approximately £650m to construct and will be built under a turn-key “engineering, procurement and construction”. Site preparation works will begin within weeks, with main construction works starting a few months later. Commercial operations are due to start in 2020.

Planning Approval for 345,000 sq ft Unit in UK West Midlands
Hodgetts Estates, advised by Indigo Planning, has been given unanimous approval by North Warwickshire Borough Council Planning and Development Board for Core 1, a large-scale logistics facility at its Core 42 distribution hub in the West Midlands. Core 1 will comprise a warehouse with associated office space, totalling 32,089 sq m (345,400 sq ft) as well as extensive trailer parking and associated service yard, infrastructure, landscaping and amenities, including foot and cycle paths. It will also incorporate the latest environmental technologies, ensuring a BREEAM rating of Very Good and an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) CO2 index rating of “A‟.

First Automated Document Applicator Sold By German Developer
Inther Logistics Engineering BV & SRD Maschinenbau GmbH has sold its first Automated Document Applicator (ADA) to the warehouse of hardware store BAUHAUS in Krefeld (Germany). The ADA is a completely new product – and the first machine developed by system integrator Inther together with machinery company SRD – which fully automates the application of documents to the exterior of boxes.
